Character deaths are a dime a dozen on “Recreation of Thrones” — the present actually has a slogan of “all males should die.” Even so, showrunner David Benioff has simply revealed an offscreen death that’s actually stunning.
That’s proper, Tommen’s lovely cat is lifeless. The royal feline was final seen in Season 6, when Margarey (Natalie Dormer) visited Tommen (Dean Charles Chapman) in his bed room for some late night time flirting. Somewhat grimly, which means each character in that scene has kicked the bucket, since Tommen threw himself out of a window and Margaery perished through Wildfire, each within the Season 6 finale.
Though he solely appeared in a single scene, the adorably named cat rapidly turned a fan favourite character, spawning heaps of on-line chatter and even joking posts about how he’ll be the one to take the Iron Throne, in the long run.
However apparently not. Trigger of death for Ser Pounce? Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).
“Cersei hated the identify ‘Ser Pounce’ a lot she couldn’t permit him to outlive,” showrunner David Benioff informed EW. “So she got here up together with her most diabolical [execution]. Ser Pounce’s death was so horrible we couldn’t even put it on the air.”
The eighth and remaining season premieres April 14 on HBO.
