Ariana Grande simply launched her official music video for the hit single, “Thank u, Subsequent.”
The much-anticipated clip, directed by Hannah Lux, is a nod to a number of early-aughts romantic comedies, together with “Imply Women,” “Convey it On,” “Legally Blonde,” and “13 Happening Thirty.”
The lyrics to the music itself compose a thanks letter to her high-profile ex-boyfriends: rapper Huge Sean, backup dancer Ricky Alvarez, later rapper Mac Miller and “SNL” star Pete Davidson, her most up-to-date break-up. (The latter ex-lover is truly the butt of a penis joke within the video.)
The monitor’s wild recognition has made Grande Spotify’s most-streamed artist. The hit single, launched three weeks in the past, has topped the Billboard Scorching 100 listing each week because it got here out.
