Students Sue County For No Early Voting Sites at Prairie View A&M

5 college students from Texas’ Prairie View A&M College sued Waller County on Monday accusing it of voter suppressive ways aimed at its Black residents, in response to the Texas Tribune.

The scholars allege that the county has violated the federal Voting Rights Act and the U.S. Structure as a result of there are not any early voting places on the campus and in Prairie View citing that its determination “imposes a considerable and unwarranted burden” negatively impacts scholar voters.
