Gray’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams is about to make his directorial debut with Until, a movie about Mamie Mobley Until, the mom of Emmett Until, a Black teen who was killed for catcalling a White girl in Mississippi in 1955.
In accordance to Deadline, the film is written by Michael Reilly and civil rights filmmaker Keith A. Beauchamp. The drama focuses on Mamie’s quest for justice following the dying of her 14-year-old son, which relies on Beauchamp’s documentary, The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Until.
The undertaking will probably be produced by Williams, Barbara Broccoli, Thomas Levine, Beauchamp, Leah Natasha Thomas and Whoopi Goldberg, who can even seem within the movie.

Until is scheduled for manufacturing starting in summer season 2019.
