The Central Bank of Nigeria has requested all customers of former Skye Bank now Polaris financial institution, to not fret or panic as their money within the financial institution is protected. This night, the apex financial institution revoked the license of the previous Skye financial institution.
The CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele mentioned the choice had been reached following the lack of the house owners of former Skye financial institution to shore up the capital of the distressed financial institution which had earlier obtained a N350 billion intervention in July 2016.
He introduced that the Cental financial institution had injected N786 billion into the financial institution to return it to soundness and profitability. In an announcement launched this night, the apex financial institution says the previous Skye Bank which might now be generally known as Polaris financial institution will proceed banking actions all branches of the previous Skye Bank on Monday September 24th.
“We want to guarantee all depositors that below this association, their deposits shall stay protected and that ordinary banking providers shall proceed within the new financial institution on Monday, 24th September 2018, to make sure customers to transact their companies seamlessly.”CBN says
