Brie Larson actually crushes it in Captain Marvel’s first trailer, which premiered on “Good Morning America.”
The teaser opens with Larson’s Carol Danvers falling from house and crashing right into a Blockbuster. She ends up discovering herself, in keeping with the video’s synopsis, in an intergalactic struggle between two alien species within the 1990s.
From there, Danvers meets Samuel L. Jackson as Sergeant Nick Fury and Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson. Jude Legislation makes his debut as Danvers’ mentor and so they’re set to tackle villains Ronan and Korath performed by Lee Tempo and Djimon Hounsou.
Danvers appears to don’t have any recollection of her earlier time on Earth, and the trailer reveals flashes of her upbringing and coaching within the US Military.
“I hold having these recollections. I see flashes. I believe I’ve a life right here,” she says. “However I can’t inform if it’s actual.”
That is Marvel Comedian Universe’s first female-led movie, and the trailer’s debut has already triggered a sensation on Twitter:
“Captain Marvel” premieres in theaters on March 8, 2019.
