Ben Affleck is hanging up the cape, in response to a report that the actor is leaving the Batman franchise.
Affleck’s exit comes on the heels of one other departure from the DC universe, in response to The Hollywood Reporter, which claims Henry Cavill will now not be Superman.
Nevertheless, Cavill’s agent, Dany Garcia, tweeted that the actor isn’t quitting Superman.
Affleck’s departure from Batman is inflicting a stir on social media from followers of the Warner Bros. franchises, wanting to know who will star within the forthcoming Batman film from director Matt Reeves.
“The DC prolonged universe is an utter mess proper now,” wrote one person on Twitter.
Studio insiders instructed The Hollywood Reporter that execs need to hit a “reset” button on their superhero movies. At a current investor convention, new WarnerMedia CEO John Stankey stated, “A few of our franchises, particularly at DC, all of us assume we are able to do higher.”
In accordance with Deadline, the studio is contemplating Michael B. Jordan, who starred in Marvel’s “Black Panther,” to play Superman.
In August, Web page Six reported Affleck was headed to rehab after an intervention by his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
