In an early model of Tuesday’s New York Occasions print publication, the revered newspaper wrongly recognized Bassett as former Trump advisor, Omarosa Manigault-Newman.
oh my god the New York Occasions combined up Angela Bassett with Omarosa pic.twitter.com/jLoePOqADy

The Occasions tweeted a response to the error instantly, telling followers they “will problem a correction in tomorrow’s paper.”
We remorse working an incorrect caption from a photograph wire service in some early print editions. We are going to problem a correction in tomorrow’s paper.https://t.co/fEezxxXo0M

That wasn’t sufficient to cease Twitter from hanging them out the dry for the error. Take a look at responses to the blunder under.
This is insulting. Angela Bassett is not the queen of getting old backwards for y’all to be complicated her with Omarosa. The nerve! The audacity! https://t.co/pjBaQ5DZOO

First, they don’t look something alike. Second, they’ll go to hell for insulting Angela Bassett that approach. Final, why the hell do they suppose that Omarosa can be a presenter on the Emmys? This is simply past stupidity.

They OWE the divine Ms. Angela Bassett a HUGE apology, to not point out retraction of that horrendous print. Ms. Bassett far, far, FAR outweighs Omarosa in EVERYTHING!!!!!!

OMG. Angela Bassett is so above Omarosa’s league. The NYT misplaced my patronage a number of years and a number of other dangerous takes in the past.

Complicated Angela Bassett with Omarosa in a serious publication? Did you see Angela Bassett on the goddamn Emmys?!? pic.twitter.com/UsY2BQ2qjG

Bassett herself responded as effectively, merely tweeting “No worries,” and together with a GIF of Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) saying her signature phrase, “It’s dealt with.”
