The nationwide chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole stated the social gathering’s governorship primaries for Imo and Lagos states have been postponed once more.
The elections which have been scheduled for Sunday, have been moved until Monday, October 1st 2018. He stated they have been shifted for logistic causes.
The 2 states are scheduled to carry direct primaries to pick out the governorship candidate of the social gathering. In Lagos, two aspirants, incumbent Akinwunmi Ambode and Babajide Sanwo-Olu are left within the race, after the third aspirant, Obafemi Hamzat withdrew for Sanwo-Olu.
In Imo, 9 aspirants are within the race. They’re Senator Hope Uzodinma, Uche Nwosu being backed by Governor Rochas Okorocha, deputy governor Prince Eze Madumere, Sir Jude Ejiogu and Barr. Chima Anozie. Others are Dr. Chris Emenike Nlemoha , Sir Eche George Ezenna , Chukwudi Celestine Ololo and Air Commodore Peter Gbujie.
