Garba Salisu the Director of Reduction, Niger State Emergency Administration Company, has stated 14 people misplaced their lives due to flooding in different parts of the state on Saturday.
He spoke to NAN, on Saturday in Minna, noting that no less than 200 native divers had been engaged to help in rescue efforts. He stated the native divers would complement the efforts of the state emergency company, every time the necessity arose.
He highlighted methods to deal with flooding, and appealed to residents to desist from constructing on waterways and cease indiscriminate dumping of refusee. He additionally urged communities experiencing gully erosion to relocate every time the menace of flood grew to become excessive.
