Yesterday, Tennis champ, Serena Williams was banned from sporting her “Clean Panther” impressed catsuit at the French Open in future.
The president of the French Tennis Affiliation’s president Bernard Giudicelli instructed Tennis Journal in an interview that the event will now have a costume code as a result of he believes “typically we have gone too far.” He singled out Williams’ bodysuit, explaining that it “will not be accepted,” in line with the Related Press.
“One should respect the recreation and the place,” Giudicelli stated, including that whereas the French Open will “impose sure limits,” its guidelines will not be as strict as Wimbledon’s the place gamers should put on all white.
Reacting to the ban, American multinational company, NIKE shared a photograph of the 23-time Grand Slam champion sporting the catsuit and wrote: ‘You can take the superhero out of her costume, but you can never take away her superpowers. #justdoit’
