The Nigeria Prisons Service (NPS) has confirmed the demise of a former Assistant Controller-Normal of Prisons, Nanvyet Gwali.
The Public Relations Officer of Nigeria Prisons Service, Francis Enobore, confirmed the demise of Gwali in an announcement on Tuesday in Abuja. Enobore stated that Gwali was murdered by but to be recognized gunmen on Aug. 10 at his farm in Laminga, close to keffi, Nasarawa State.
The deceased transferred his companies from Plateau Ministry of Training to NPS in 1989 as a Superintendent of Prisons and rose to the rank of Deputy Controller-Normal of Prisons. He retired in February 2016 as Deputy Controller-Normal of Prisons in-charge of Finance and Accounts.
Enobore stated that the service was in contact with the related safety companies who had been on the path of the perpetrators of the crime to make sure that they had been delivered to justice.
