Kingsley Moghalu pulls out of the PACT after Fela Durotoye emerged as consensus candidate, says ‘I am still firmly in the 2019 presidential race’

This afternoon, Fela Durotoye was chosen by PACT (Presidential Aspirants Coming Collectively) as the consensus candidate for the 2019 presidential election.

Nevertheless, his closest competitor, Kingsley Moghalu who ought to by advantage of the end result withdraw his candidacy and help Durotoye says, ‘I am urgent forward with my plan to contest the 2019 presidential election.’.

In response to him, the election ‘produced an final result that has left many Nigerians expressing shock and disappointment’.

See his full assertion beneath….

I want to inform members of my “To Construct A Nation” (TBAN) motion, the Kingsley Moghalu Help Organisation (KIMSO) nationwide, the Kingsley Moghalu Volunteer Drive, Youth for Kingsley (Y4K), Ladies for Kingsley (W4K), Kingsley Moghalu Disciples, the Younger Progressive Get together (YPP) and my different supporters nationwide and in the diaspora that I am urgent forward with my plan to contest the 2019 presidential election.

That is regardless of the association for a consensus candidate amongst the younger presidential aspirants beneath the aegis of Presidential Aspirants Coming Collectively (PACT), which immediately produced an final result that has left many Nigerians expressing shock and disappointment.

The explanations I’ve pulled out of the PACT association are as follows:

1. The association had unravelled even earlier than the closing choice of the consensus candidate. Solely seven aspirants participated in the closing voting out of the authentic 18 aspirants, primarily as a result of many of the aspirants had withdrawn from the course of. 4 candidates who had been current in the assembly this morning withdrew from the course of even whereas the voting course of was ongoing. Subsequently, PACT didn’t produce a very consensus candidate.

2. Clause 13 of the PACT Memorandum of Understanding asserts the supremacy of the constitutional rights of the aspirants to pursue their political aspirations.

I due to this fact have chosen to proceed with out distraction to pursue my imaginative and prescient in the presidential race for 2019 in the nationwide curiosity and in deference to the overwhelming outpouring of help for my candidacy from all components of Nigeria.

I’ll stay centered on the goal of offering a reliable management that may assist unite our nation and construct a nation, wage a decisive conflict towards poverty and unemployment, and restore respect for Nigeria in the society of nations.

It’s my humble and well-considered view that the Workplace of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria requires competence and expertise in these three very important areas.

Thanks.
