Kevin Hart Surprises 18 Students with $600K in HBCU Scholarships

Kevin Hart teamed up with the United Negro School Fund and KIPP Public colleges, a nationwide community of free open-enrollment college-preparatory colleges in underserved communities, to offer $600,000 in scholarships to 18 qualifying college students attending traditionally black schools and universities. On Monday, the comic shocked the recipients at an occasion in Los Angeles.

KIPP and the Philadelphia native’s Assist From The Hart Charity every donated $300,000 towards the scholarship fund. The scholars are attending 11 schools together with Tuskegee College, Xavier College, Morehouse School, Spelman School and Clark Atlanta College.
