Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has mentioned he might remain in the senate for the remainder of his life if he so needs saying he is at all times in contact along with his constituents, and will simply win elections.
He spoke on Thursday at Sheraton Resort at a public dialogue organised by the #NotTooYoungToRun motion, a youth group that efficiently lobbied for the passage of a brand new regulation that lowered the age of qualification for political workplace throughout the nation.
“I’m in whole contact with my folks and that’s the reason if I need to remain in senate without end, I will” Ekweremadu instructed younger aspirants on the platform of PDP.
“PDP just isn’t a house for city politicians, for younger folks. If you wish to take part in politics, you need to pay your dues and the finest place to pay your dues is your area people. That’s the place all of us began from. Don’t suppose you’ll go to the Home of Reps or Home of Meeting by working round Wadada Plaza, it’s not going to work” he mentioned.
