Baby Safety Community (CPN) in Akamkpa, Cross River State has rescued a 2-year-old woman who was set ablaze by her uncle.
In accordance to the NGO, the suspect tied the kid to a guava tree and set fire on her for defecating round. The suspect has been arrested by police. Fundamental Rights Counsel Initiative (BRCI) intends to press costs. Learn report under:
“The kid in this image is about 2years outdated. She leaves with her uncle in Akamkpa (her father’s elder brother). Her uncle tied her to a guava tree and set fire on her. In accordance to her uncle, she poos round.
As a results of the fire, she sustained excessive diploma accidents. Her ft are burnt. She isn’t ready to stand nor sit. Aside from the accidents, she is wanting malnourished and terribly below weight. She sleeps outdoors on a make shift mattress not even adequate for a canine not to mention a human being.
She was rescued by Baby Safety Community (CPN) Akamkpa, and introduced to Fundamental Rights Counsel Initiative (#BRCI). She is at the moment below going remedy. The uncle has been arrested and BRCI will press for prosecution.
