A lady has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a two-year-old girl in Lagos because of loneliness.
Jumoke Adesida, 35, a resident of Odo-Kekere village in Ogun State, allegedly stole the kid named Rokibat Raji on June 22 at her mom’s store, which is situated at 12, Kazeem Adeboye Avenue, Jerry Farm, Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos.
The police stated the sufferer’s mom, Aminat Abidoye, 38, had reported the disappearance of her youngster at Shagamu-Street Division, prompting the state Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, to direct the Anti-Kidnapping unit to deal with the matter.
Confirming the incident, Edgal informed journalists that the unit tapped into the strong group policing construction to search for the sufferer.
He stated: “Their efforts paid off because the lacking youngster was traced to Jumoke Adesida, 35, in Odo-Kekere Village, Ogun State. Throughout interrogation, Adesida confessed to the crime. She defined that she needed the kid to play with as her husband has taken her solely youngster away from her.
“The suspect could be charged to court docket as quickly as investigation is concluded.”
