Listen to the first track from Prince’s posthumous album

On what would have been his 60th birthday, Prince has given the world a present.

This morning, his property and Warner Bros. introduced plans to launch a recording from 1983 referred to as “Piano & A Microphone: 1983.”

Out Sept. 21, the album was recorded throughout a rehearsal in Prince’s residence studio in Chanhassen, Minn.

The track itemizing options stripped-down variations of “Purple Rain,” a canopy of Joni Mitchell’s “A Case of You,” and “Mary Don’t You Weep,” which can be featured in Spike Lee’s upcoming movie “BlacKkKlansman.”

“Mary” may also be out there to stream beginning right this moment. Listen under:
