‘A little red goes a long way;
A little red adds a nary a care;
For a little red, I would give my pay,
And wear my red with a flare.’
Red is for love and passion. Red is a trailblazer and an attention getter. They claim it raises your blood pressure and quickens your heart beat. Meaning it’s not for the faint hearted or the lily livered. And just like the sign, red warns the world to stop and make way for you ‘cos here comes trouble!
Yellow on the other hand has been worn with red for centuries. But then again it depends on the shade of yellow, hello! Yellow is the colour of hope, sunshine and happiness. Positivity, clarity, energy, optimism, remembrance, honour, intellect, joy and hope. What more can I say about yellow that you don’t already know? This particular demure yellow is alive with bravery and courage and don’t listen to any thing contrary about yellow. Be kind and gentle when you wear yellow and do not call it names. Like cowardly or deceitful or cautious or jealous. No colour will more repay, a diva so kind and fair who wears yellow despite what people say that it clashes a lot or is difficult to coordinate! If you coordinate yellow with matching shades, it takes on a fashion style of its very own. And by the way such divas like you are extremely rare, make no mistake.
Matching yellow with red like I have done here is truly a different story. A pair of Cinderella booties given pride of place in a girl’s closet. What more eloquence in speech and poetry can I display? This dainty pairing is so captivating while at the same time exuding that come-hither exciting, charming and all too enticing look.
The word for this look is “casually elegant.” It just shows a woman who can create her ‘style’ from even the most basic clothes and colors in the most flattering way.
And you’re not gonna believe it when I tell you there was no breaking the bank over this cool look. I have just not been shopping much this summer because as you know I now have my clothing line and how better to promote it than to “shop the look” for my own closet. I hope you stop by and pick up a few pieces for the summer. (go to the main page of this blog and click on shop)
Women can never have enough when it comes to shoes.
I just couldn’t resist these ankle multi strap open toe booties, most especially because the colors have my name written all over them. So I have paired it with ankle pants which I had to fold up a bit to give them more definition and show off the booties a little better. Great look don’t you think?
Ok this top is simple but just so appropriate with the sleeves that show off toned shoulders (if you have) and just what the doctor ordered for these pants need as the icing on top the cake. Looks deliciously cute even if I say so!
The purse was a gift from a girlfriend several years back but I think I’ve only carried it once! Can you imagine?
One other thing I collect as well as shoes and bags are ‘sunnies’. I couldn’t take my eyes off these by Steven Adam Alan and got them from Saks Off Fifth on Sale. hahahah
My son and I set off for this photo shoot, but after 45 minutes of driving, we got to location only to realise the memory card was missing in action in the camera! So we did the ‘shoot’ on the phone! And which by the way it doesn’t look bad at all.
I hope the poetry casually woven into today’s post was much loved people? Oh yes. I love poetry especially when it helps me articulate my fashion statement.
Thanks my people and much love and grace to you and me from the one we all adore.
Thank you for stopping by.
